Each double-page spread is a dungeon adventure. Your mission: get in, find the ring, head to the exit, and try to defeat the fearsome Red Dragon. Sounds easy, right? No, each dungeon is randomly generated and will try to stop you at every corner, with traps, monsters, hazards, and general (very unsafe) flooring. But you must persevere…
Find magical items
Each time you kill a monster, you will be rewarded with a random item to add to your inventory. Use them wisely, and try not to drink your healing potions too early in the journey, kids! Be strategic, luring monsters into traps with ranged attacks, casting spells to befuddle and confuse your enemy, and carefully make your way through the underworld to the exit.
Discover hidden caverns
Each dungeon hides hidden caverns, areas that are randomly generated to help (or hinder) you in your quest. A tomb, an altar room, a goblin camp—who knows what areas you will discover?
Take your character to the next level
If you manage to get to the end, you can take your seasoned character into the next dungeon, so let’s see how far you can get. Will you be Barry Anvil? Or Son of Barry Anvil? Or even Barry Anvil the 3rd, 4th — you get the idea!
Book of Dungeon is based on the popular board game Bag of Dungeon and is a complete board game… but in a book.
Let’s see how far you can go into the dungeon, and who knows, you may even make it back to the tavern.
Good luck, adventurer, your journey awaits!
