Import Duties & Customs Information

International customers (USA, Europe and the rest of the world)

All physical orders ship from the United Kingdom. If you are ordering from outside the UK (for example the USA, Canada or the EU), your local customs office may apply import duties, sales tax (VAT/GST), customs clearance charges or courier handling fees when the parcel arrives.

These charges are set and collected by your local customs authority, not by us.

Any import duties, taxes, customs clearance fees or courier handling charges are the responsibility of the customer.

How customs fees are calculated

Declared value
Based on the price you paid after discounts. Some countries may also include shipping costs when calculating taxes.

Product type
Different categories of goods can attract different duty rates.

Local rules
Thresholds, tax rates and import procedures vary by country (and sometimes by state or province).

Courier handling fees
Some postal services and couriers charge an administration or processing fee when collecting taxes on behalf of customs.

Customs declarations

We declare the actual price paid for the goods, in accordance with customs regulations.

We cannot mark orders as gifts, undervalue goods or provide inaccurate customs declarations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I definitely be charged import duties?

Not always. Many international orders arrive without any additional charges. If fees do apply, they depend on your country’s customs regulations and the declared value of the goods.

Can you tell me exactly what I will pay?

Unfortunately not. Import charges vary by country and may change over time. For estimates, please consult your local customs authority or import duty calculator.

Can you mark my order as a gift?

No. We must declare the true price paid for the goods in accordance with customs regulations.

Why do you ship from the UK?

We are a small independent board game publisher based in the United Kingdom. Shipping directly from our UK stock helps us maintain quality control and dispatch orders quickly.

What happens if I refuse customs charges?

If customs charges are refused and a parcel is returned to us, any return shipping costs, customs charges, courier fees or handling costs incurred may be deducted from any refund.
