What kind of game is Kastles?

Kids love Kastles. Then again, so do adults. It’s the perfect antidote to screen time for all ages, and it plays quick and easy and packs a lot of fun in a deck of specially illustrated cards.

Pack it in the car when you go camping, take it on those long train journeys, or keep it handy for those drizzly days stuck indoors. Grown ups can even take it to the pub. You never know, you might even make some new friends.

Build your kastle, draw cards from the deck, then play single cards or combos against your opponents to reduce their kastles to rubble. Keep doing that until you’re the last kastle standing. Easy. Except that’s exactly what the other players will be trying to do to you. Experience the highs of victory, the lows of defeat and the sweet taste of revenge – usually all three, in about 20 minutes. Load the catapult and launch yourself into a crackingly good stronghold attack and defence game.

Bought this as a quick and easy game for the holidays. Played several games against my nephew who is 11. It was easy to learn gameplay and devise tactics, and each game was a close battle. Lots of fun, totally recommend as a fun game to play with kids or non-boardgamers, or as a fun filler on game night.

  2. Stu Packer

We love it! The strategies and the mysteries of who has the Wizard and dragon go hand in hand. We always say, ‘Just one more go then!’

  3. Alex P

Love this game. Play it all the time with mates. Spent many an hour playing in the pub. Simple to pick up but complex enough to stay interesting for repeated sessions. Top stuff!

  4. Lisa

Fantastic card game designed with all the family in mind. It’s different and slightly eccentric, and keeps everyone entertained. Fully recommend it. Put those traditional packs of cards to one side!

  5. Dan

Top game! Brilliantly simple and addictive. Played about 50 games with my 13 yr old son on summer hols last year. Only problem was that he won most of them

  6. Alastair Penny

Great Fun, Would defiantly recommend although my girlfriend wont play with me anymore apparently i’m too competitive.

  8. Paul

Great game. Simple to play and yet really good fun. I love all the Gunpowder games and my kids are now constantly nagging me to play Kastles, whereas they’re usually nagging me for the WiFi password. A great achievement for our screen-obsessed little ones.

  9. Hannah

Love this game! Great to take on holiday for hours of fun!

  10. Ruth

Great game, kept my nephews, nieces and me occupied for hours

  11. Sean

Great game. Easy to pick up but fun to master.

  12. Archie

Really good fun, we played nearly 40 games on holiday. Simple and easy to thrash Dad!
